We’re excited to announce that customers using US Government Community Cloud (GCC) environment and Microsoft Azure can now purchase Windows 365 Enterprise and deploy their Cloud PCs in Microsoft Azure commercial regions.
Windows 365 Enterprise has been assessed by a Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) authorized auditor to meet FedRAMP High requirements at data centers within the Continental US and has an agency authorization at FedRAMP Moderate. Windows 365 Enterprise is included in the Office 365 Multi-Tenant & Supporting Services FedRAMP accreditation package.
Windows 365 provides customers using the GCC environment the flexibility to leverage and extend their existing investments in either Microsoft Azure commercial or Microsoft Azure Government depending on what best meets their regulatory and compliance requirements. Whether your organization has a specific FedRAMP requirement or is simply utilizing FedRAMP compliance as part of the overall evaluation criteria, Windows 365 provides flexibility and security while simplifying the administration and enhancing the value and experience for end users.

With Windows 365 Enterprise, Cloud PCs are provisioned in an Azure Commercial data center, and meet FedRAMP requirements when they are properly configured and used within the Continental US (CONUS). If your organization requires additional compliance or regulatory commitments, please see Windows 365 Government.
Currently, it is not possible to have a tenant that includes Cloud PCs in both the Azure Commercial and Azure Government regions. Therefore, it is important to evaluate the full scope of compliance and regulatory requirements when deciding which product is appropriate for your organization.
After a customer in the GCC environment purchases Windows 365 Enterprise, they will use the Microsoft Intune admin center to provision and manage their Cloud PCs. In the screenshot below, the admin will need to select a Geography / Region in the Continental US to meet FedRAMP requirements.

The scope of this announcement is for the GCC environment only. This change impacts customers using the GCC environment who would like to purchase Windows 365 Enterprise. The current offerings available for customers in the GCC High environment are not impacted by this announcement.
